2018 Marconi Symposium, “Restoring Trust on the Internet”

Honoring the 2018 Marconi Fellow, Akamai cofounder F. Thomson Leighton, the program explores how technology and regulation are addressing problems that have led to rising threats and diminishing trust on the Internet.  Includes an introductory keynote from Dr. Leighton, plus panels on social media abuse, privacy challenges and regulatory issues, and mitigating cyber-threats. Featured speakers include Giovanni Guidotti (CTO, Leonardo-Finmeccanica); Michelle Dennedy (Chief Privacy Officer, Cisco); noted cryptographers Whitfield Diffie and Martin Hellman; Vinton Cerf (Chief Internet Evangelist, Google); and Professor Giovanni Corazza (President, CINECA.)
