Hatti Hamlin

Ms. Hamlin has been the Executive Director of the Marconi Society since 2010. Previously, she was in charge of the Society’s communications.

Her career has included corporate and agency marketing and public relations consulting for clients ranging from Fortune 1000 corporations to regional local institutions, in industries that included health care, technology, financial services, real estate, and consumer products. Early in her career she worked in a variety of communications posts for the Washington State Legislature and Governor’s Office, followed by a stint in corporate communications in a major bank. She founded and managed her own PR firm for 14 years, then joined Publicis Dialog, the San Francisco unit of French-based advertising giant Publicis, where she launched and managed the firm’s San Francisco public relations division for four years. She left Publicis in 2000 to join Fleishman-Hillard, where she was vice president and head of the San Francisco health care practice, then returned to independent consulting in 2001. She began working with the Marconi Society in 2006.

A long-time Accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Ms. Hamlin is a past president of the San Francisco chapter and was a board member for over 27 years. She has chaired and served on a number of PRSA national committees and in 2004 was elected to the PRSA College of Fellows. The San Francisco Chapter honored her with Rex Harlow Award for lifetime achievement in the public relations profession and a Lifetime PRSA Membership for her career contributions. She currently serves on the board of the San Francisco Public Relations Round Table.
