The Marconi Prize

“Selecting a Marconi Fellow is quite difficult…because we look for someone with great ingenuity, great intelligence and great success in science. But at the same time, we’re also looking for someone who has made a tangible difference to the community and to society at large.”

— Sir Eric Ash, 1984 Marconi Fellow

The Marconi Prize is awarded annually to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of communications for the benefit of humankind through scientific or technological discoveries. Recipients of the Marconi Prize are designated Marconi Fellows.  Marconi Fellows continue to build our connected world by mentoring young researchers, founding companies and advising government and technical organizations around the world.

Marconi Fellows are nominated by their peers. Nomination forms must be submitted to the Marconi Society by July 31, 2018 for consideration for the 2019 Prize.

The Marconi Prize includes a $100,000 honorarium and a work of sculpture.
