Call for Nominations for 2014 Marconi Prize

The Marconi Society invites nominations for the Marconi Prize of individuals worldwide who have made pioneering contributions to communications technology that have benefited humanity, thus perpetuating the spirit and work of Guglielmo Marconi. The Marconi Society welcomes nominations from learned societies and academies of all countries, as well as from individuals in universities, industry and public life. Vint CerfVint Cerf Appointed to The National Science Board (NSB)

Vint Cerf has been appointed to the NSB for a term ending in 2018. The NSB is made up of 25 members appointed by the President, based on established records of distinguished service, and serves as an independent body of advisors to both the President and the Congress on policy matters related to science and engineering and education in science and engineering. In addition to major reports, the NSB also publishes occasional policy papers or statements on issues of importance to U.S. science and engineering.
