President, Fondazione Guglielmo Marconi

Giulia Fortunato

She has been appointed President of Fondazione Guglielmo Marconi, by decree of the Minister of Culture on January 2024.

She has also been appointed President of the National Committee for the Celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Guglielmo Marconi’s birth.

She is an Italian cultural entrepreneur, sole Director and General Manager of CMS. Cultura srl, a company producing cultural content and organizing temporary exhibitions in Italy and abroad, in collaboration with public and private entities involving major museums worldwide and relevant Italian ministries, particularly the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. For over fifteen years, she has been involved in several cultural diplomacy projects promoting dialogue among peoples and different cultures in sensitive areas.

Previously, she served as Communication and External Relations Manager at the Marino Golinelli Foundation, representing the Foundation in the Group for Correct Information and Communication on Biosafety and Biotechnologies within the National Committee for Biosafety and Biotechnologies under the Prime Minister’s Office and within the ECSITE network, the European network of Science Centres.

She holds a degree in Ancient History, received honours from the University of Bologna, and has a final experimental dissertation on archaeology and Greek art history. She has also completed courses in underwater surveying with the Italian Navy and earned a Master’s degree in European Public Relations.

She is a member of the Consilium of the Management Department at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice.

She holds conferences in Italy and abroad.
