When is the event?
The Decade of Digital Inclusion Symposium & Gala will be held on November 2-3, 2022.
What is the location of the event?
The Decade of Digital Inclusion Symposium will be held virtually and the Gala will be held at the University of California, Berkeley. A map of the campus can be found here.
The Gala will be held in Pauley Ballroom located inside of the ASUC Student Union of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Building located at 2495 Bancroft Way, Berkeley, CA 94270.

How do I submit my special dietary requirements for the Gala?
The registration form includes an area for you to submit any special dietary requirements.
What is the cancellation policy?
To request a refund/transfer of ticket the ticket holder must email events@marconisociety.org.
- Before October 1, 2022: 95% refund (-5% for credit card processing) or transfer ticket to someone else for no fee
- October 1–October 14, 2022: 50% refund or transfer ticket to someone else for no fee
- October 14–November 3, 2022: No refund
- Cancellation due to contracting COVID-19 up until November 2: 95% refund

How do I reserve a hotel room for the event?
To reserve a hotel room for the Decade of Digital Inclusion Symposium & Gala please visit Marriott Residence Inn Berkeley. Please note that the Marconi Society does not have a special room block and will not contact you about reserving a room. If you receive emails or calls regarding your accommodations from a third party, please be wary. There are documented instances of “hotel poachers” contacting event attendees with false information about hotel accommodations.

What is the closest airport to the University of California, Berkeley?
There are three international airports that are relatively close to the University of California, Berkeley:
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO) – 25 miles, approximately 40 minutes away
- Oakland International Airport (OAK) – 15 miles, approximately 30 minutes away
- San Jose International Airport (SJC) – 45 miles, approximately 70 minutes away
Will there be transportation for the event?
There is no shuttle service for the event. Local transportation including cabs and rideshare options are available.
