Skills Training Challenge 2: How do we support and train future workers through the better definition of digital skills?

What is the Impact?

Recognizing that digital skills can be a barrier for some to get online or advocate for better levels of access, we should seek to build programs and curriculum that balance addressing individual needs and broader needs so that a curriculum can be broadly deployed while adapted to fit the specific needs of students.

Why is this difficult?

There is currently a lack of clear definition of what a ‘future digital inclusion worker/ advocate’ is and the tools and knowledge they need. The creation of a digital inclusion track in higher education could go a long way in supporting this goal, but it needs more support as it is still in its nascence.
