Security Challenge 3: Is connectivity always a good thing?

Why is it difficult?

Every device can be reached out from each other from any part of the world through the internet. This connectivity allows the devices to communicate and share data, such as sharing videos from the YouTube server. However, we ask if connectivity is always a good thing? Because it also allows unintended malware and corrupt software to flow through the network and affect a potential end device. Can the network be trusted? Will it always be there, and will it be reliable? The challenge here lies in ensuring network security with appropriate measures such as firewalls, two-factor authentication, spam detection, and so on.

What is the impact?

If we can trust network connectivity better and reliably, it will improve the security of all the devices. We can be assured that our data is safe and secure from internet malware.
