Marconi Fellow and Board Member Elected to the National Academy of Engineering

Marconi Fellow Whitfield Diffie and Board member Andrea Goldsmith have been elected to the National Academy of Engineering. Dr. Diffie, an advisor to Redwood City-based Black Ridge Technology, was honored for the invention of public key cryptography and for broader contributions to privacy. Dr. Goldsmith, the Stephen Harris Professor of Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University, was cited for her contributions to adaptive and multiantenna wireless communications.
