August 29, 2024, Chicago, IL, USA — The Marconi Society, Fondazione Guglielmo Marconi, and the Italian National Committee Marconi.150 have signed a partnership agreement to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Guglielmo Marconi’s birth. This collaboration will organize key events in Bologna, Italy, including the 2024 Marconi Awards Gala, an Executive Forum, and High School and University Academic Lectures.

As part of the agreement, the Marconi Society will serve as the North American ambassador for Fondazione Marconi and the Italian National Committee Marconi.150, promoting Marconi’s legacy and supporting educational initiatives across the continent.

Reflecting on the partnership, Giulia Fortunato, the President of Fondazione Guglielmo Marconi and National Committee Marconi.150, stated, “We signed a very important agreement between our institutions. We believe the legacy of Guglielmo Marconi represents an important responsibility for us, and together we will walk a common path into the future. We look to the new generation for Marconi’s achievements to inspire for years to come.”

The 2024 Marconi Awards Gala will be held on October 26, 2024 at Palazzo Re Enzo in Bologna, Italy. It will honor Dr. Teresa Meng, the 2024 Marconi Fellow and the Young Scholar Award winners. 

This partnership is a significant step in honoring Marconi’s legacy and advancing the missions of all involved organizations.
