About the Marconi Society

The Marconi Society celebrates, inspires, and connects innovators building tomorrow’s technologies in service of a digitally inclusive world.

We honor the spirit of Guglielmo Marconi—scientist, engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur—and the legacy of his contributions. In recognition of the role that Marconi’s innovations play in our present-day world, the Marconi Society celebrates and supports the leaders that are building a digitally inclusive world.

The Marconi Prize, awarded annually, celebrates living scientists whose achievements in communications and information technology have advanced the social, economic, and cultural development of all humanity.

The Society also inspires young scientists through its Paul Baran Young Scholar Awards.

Through the Celestini Program, our Fellows and Young Scholars connect with and support the next generation of scientists in emerging countries who are creating the solutions to connect the next billion.

As a nonprofit, Marconi Society program grants support program activities directly and do not fund overhead.
