Atsutse Kwami Kludze, 2026

Atsutse Kludze earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Princeton University in 2026, after a B.S. in the same field from Cornell University, where he was a McNair Scholar. His research develops physics-guided architectures for wireless communication and sensing above 100 GHz. Rather than scaling conventional wireless designs into the sub-terahertz bands, he treats the physics of those bands as a design resource, building physical-layer and device technologies, from leaky-wave antennas to organic electronic materials and engineered metasurfaces. That work spans low-power front ends, large-area reconfigurable surfaces, near-field beamforming, and systems that both communicate and sense. He is a named inventor on granted and pending patents, one of which was selected as a Princeton Patent Highlight. His work has been recognized with Best Paper Awards at USENIX NSDI 2023 and ACM MobiCom 2023, the ACM SIGMOBILE Research Highlights Award, and two invited research highlights in ACM SIGMOBILE’s GetMobile. He was named an Outstanding Reviewer for the IEEE Journal of Microwaves, and has held the Yan Huo Graduate Fellowship and the Pramod Subramanyan Early Career Graduate Award from Princeton, a GEM Employer Fellowship sponsored by IBM, and a Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship.
