Yiwen Song is currently a Postdoctoral associate at WiTech Lab of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Prof. Swarun Kumar, where he also gained his Ph.D. degree. Prior to that, he obtained his bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His work focuses on designing and evaluating new wireless systems, with applications spanning broadly across wireless communication, wireless sensing, wireless power transfer, and novel wireless hardware. He has published 15 papers in top-tier conferences and journals including Nature Communications, Advanced Science, MobiCom, MobiSys, etc. Currently, he works towards deep integration of wireless and robotic systems, where he has advanced the research of radio-frequency actuation of soft robots and robotic integration of wireless devices.
